Resisting the urge for sweet treats is common practice for me. However, for this week’s sugar craze, I got a little more creative than reaching for the nearest bag of chocolate chips. Thanks to a post by Tip Hero on their nifty Facebook page, titled Rich Chocolate Mug Cake, I took to the kitchen with the intent to create a masterpiece. Luckily, all of the ingredients were in stock in the trusty pantry of creation. Here are the simple step-by-step directions that led to quite an interesting indulgence.
IN A GOOD SIZED MUG ADD:
4TB FLOUR
2TB COCOA POWDER
3TB SUGAR
1/4 TSP BAKING SODA
A PALMFUL OF CHOCOLATE CHIPS
MIX LIKE A MIXING MASTER.
THEN ADD:
3TB MILK
3TB OIL
1/4 TSP VANILLA
MIX LIKE A CHAMPION OF A THREE LEGGED FOOT RACE.
PLACE IN MICROWAVE WITH LOTS OF CONFIDENCE FOR 2 MINUTES. CAUTION, THIS MAY OVERFLOW SO YOU MAY WANT TO CHECK IT BEFORE YOU WRECK IT!
APPLY FROSTING (OR IN MY CASE, MARSHMALLOW CREAM) AND SPRINKLES.
ENJOY AND DON’T FEEL BAD FOR MAKING CAKE IN A CUP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE AFTERNOON ON A SATURDAY.
