When my 13 year old son went on his first bear hunt, the last thing I expected was to start getting texts about picking plums and making Clafouti. I didn’t even know he knew what Clafouti was! After a day of bear hunting, Kazden was hanging out with Alex, the cook, at Boulder Creek Outfitters in a remote part of Idaho.
They found this recipe for Cherry Clafoutis on the internet and decided to substitute plums for cherries.
What a joy to get these pictures and realize that, even without me around, my son has a passion for food and discovering local culinary treasures.
